As five o'clock nears, the bell rings to signal that the feast shall be starting soon. Folks gather from throughout the festival to the east fields, and fill in the many tables set up in and around the pavilion. There are 3 head tables, and all the other tables for people to sit at have been but sideways from them. Surounding those tables are other tables, filled with food, drink and other oddities. Volunteers bring around mugs of a strange beer, which has an odd consistancy to it. Some (mostly orcs, goblins, and even a few dwarves) are quite pleased by it's appearance, only to be somewhat disapointed by being asked to not taste any till the toast coming up shortly. The party (Minus Fang) arives with Ingus (Grimel, Lenny, and Karl are staying behind to watch the wagons). One of the acolytes recognizes Oirhandir, and escorts them to the head table, which Hellen and Fang are sitting on one side of. The Mayor, his daughter Daphnie, and other important town officals are seated on the other side, and various guests of honor are seated at the side tables of honor. Fang is very well dressed and groomed, and he and Hellen are both smiling quite brightly. Fang has a distringuished looking sash on that is of particular note. Servers bring you all mugs of this strange beer, and ask you not to touch it till after the toast. Hellen stands and hushes the crowd, and then begins to speak. "As is tradition, we open the festival with the feast of the harvest. I would like to thank all who have brought food to share, particularly those townsfolk of Covington." The crowd applauds loudly at this, but is quickly silenced by Hellen. "In accordance with Fang, our Master of Cerimonies, Halina has blessed us with a special treat in leu of the traditional Last Harvest Bread. She has blessed us with this Last Harvest Brew!" Even louder, a bit rowdier, and perhaps some already drunken cheers go up to this. However, Hellen quiets them down again, and continues. "But, before any of us partake of this, we ask that our Master of Cerimonies, Fang, offer us a toast to Halina in thanks for the harvest." Cheers arise form the crowd. People chant Fang's name. Halina smiles and tugs at Fang for him to stand up. Once Fang does, the crowd grows almost unnaturaly quiet, waiting to hear Fang's inspiring words...
