I'm not sure I can give too much away, but I think I can do what a normal reader could do- which is post the table of contents: Preface............................................................................................2 Introduction....................................................................................6 Chapter One: Traits of the Blood ..................................................8 Cynosure and Cycle.............................................................15 Dwindling ............................................................................17 Chapter Two: Fey Society ...........................................................19 Courts, Hosts, and Cycles....................................................19 The Court of Dreams ...........................................................19 The Gentry ...................................................................19 The Yarthkins ...............................................................20 The Portunes ................................................................21 The Revelry..................................................................22 The Court of Nightmare ......................................................24 The Horde ....................................................................24 The Grims ....................................................................25 The Bogeys ..................................................................26 The Uninvited ..............................................................27 The Court of Twilight ..........................................................28 Court Politics .......................................................................28 Customs and Cultures ..........................................................28 Chapter Three: Fey Characters ....................................................30 Fey Races.............................................................................30 Grogans........................................................................30 Pucks............................................................................31 Shee..............................................................................32 Urchins.........................................................................33 Fey Infusions (Templates) ...................................................35 Fey-Shaped ..................................................................35 Malekin ........................................................................35 Fomori..........................................................................36 Fey Classes ..........................................................................36 Hero..............................................................................36 Empyrean .....................................................................38 Mysterial ......................................................................39 Ruffian .........................................................................39 Prestige Classes....................................................................40 Horde Rider..................................................................40 Twilight Warlock..........................................................41 Fey Feats ..............................................................................42 Chapter Four: Magic....................................................................46 New Magic Type: Fey .........................................................46 Hedge Magic................................................................46 Fey Spells Master List .........................................................47 Fey Spell Lists by Host........................................................49 New Spells ...........................................................................60 Chapter Five: Adventures in Dreaming.......................................63 Chapter Six: Fey Realms .............................................................68 Chapter Seven: Monsters of the Fey Realms ..............................71 Asrai.....................................................................................71 Fideal....................................................................................72 Monathe-Duine ....................................................................73 Taran ....................................................................................74 Appendix One: Magic Weave Worksheets ..................................75 Note that the first three specific monsters listed in chapter 7 are just examples of what can be done with the system. That chapter also discusses the ecology of fey realms, and which non-fey are likely to cohabitate with them. The taran is an example of a non-fey monster that exists because of the fey. Tarans are undead (they're 'lost souls'), but don't think I could properly convey what they're about here. They're creepy, but they're not meant to gross you out- they're tragic. The Magic weave stuff is the system for giving fey their spell-like abilities. You can build the MM fey pretty closely- to within an ability point or two. Inspirations for the fey laid out in this book ranged from Folklore and the works of Katherine Briggs, Neil Gaiman's Sandman, various movies like the film Legend, Arthurian legend, etc. That's about as much as I can get into here. I hope that's enough to tell you if it would be for you. :)
