FFG Path of Faith Art

I just got Path of Faith yesterday from bn.com (12 bucks!), and one thing immediately grabbed my attention.

Hian Rodriguez's art.

Yes, most of the art in the book is great, but his fantasy manga influenced art is exceptionally beautiful! I love the style and detail of the characters! Please continue to hire him for future products! Heck, that goes for the other d20 publishers as well! (I'd love to see some of his art in a Mongoose product, for instance... :D )

Usually art doesn't influence my buying decisions, but I'll make an exception in this case.

Thanks!

I liked his art a great deal, as well. I'll probably be picking up Path of Faith and either Path of Shadows of Path of Magic this weekend :) Payday, yay.

I can't comment on Path of Shadow, but I can tell you straight out that Path of Magic is great...

so far, I'm yet to hear a bad word about the "Path of..." series so I guess it's a pretty safe bet that Path of Shadow will be just as good...

I picked up both books (Shadow/Faith) yesterday and I like them. Fine art, nice PR-Classes.
Now I just need more time to read them:)

After the first few looks into both I must say that I think I might like the Path of Shadow a little bit more, and no, the Rogue being my favorite class has nothing to do with it!

Heh, I can't believe you were thinking about that too ... as soon as I picked up Path of Faith I wanted to see who drew those great drawings. Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't his work been in all the Path of ... books? Regardless, looks fantastic. And his Elfwood gallery is quite nice :)

Ack. I just noticed that. At first I said, that's a helluva discount ... then I saw they priced it incorrectly at $15 instead of $25. Butterfingers :) It's temp out of stock, but I already bought mine so no biggy ...

It said out of stock for me, too, but it shipped after a couple weeks. I couldn't resist for 12 bucks!

Also, this is the second "Path" book I bought (I'm getting Shadow and Magic soon), and Hian's art isn't in Path of the Sword.

Are you sure? I just looked in Path of the Sword and saw him credited ... I took a quick flip through all the Path books for art after I read this thread :) Some are erroneously attributed; for example, in Path of the Sword you see some swank pics tagged 'MCotie', but he's not in the art credits. But in Path of ... (something) you do see him in there. Odd. Same for Hian, though his work in Faith is much better then previous ones. The other three really cool artists in Path of is Ejsing, Andy Bras (esp) and Matt Cotie :) Their splattered all over the Path series, thankfully. Check em out!

Actually that's Mitch Cotie, and I erroneously left him off the Credits page in Path of the Sword. He was my favorite artist to work with, although I know there are a whole lot of Brase and Hian fans out there. :)
