You can either add up your army values and roll on this chart, or you can actually break out a warboard and fight it out. While we know many people will use the first set of rules, the second set is by far the more complex and robust and, frankly, fun.We use Warmaster minis when we test battles. They're pretty good and you can get whole painted armies cheap off eBay. Furthermore, one way or the other, we want to include counters so you can play even if you don't have minis. Lastly, you could just use an Orc mini to represent a unit of Elite Orc Heavy Infantry, but the battle would look weird.The Book of War is designed to handle very large battles.
