Fiery Dragon Adventures

Dolarre

First Post
I like the counter collections, and am looking forward to the counter packs, but what I loved from your company was the adventures. I've been a fan since 'Nemoren's Vault' but your last two mods, Queen of Lies and Beyond all Reason were incredible. Frankly I, greedy git that I am, want more!!

You haven't announced anything new adventure-wise for a while, and 'Revivify the Vivid' and 'Gates of Oblivion' seem to have dissappeared. I know the reorganization takes time, but please tell me you haven't become a Counter publication company only.

Throw a fan a bone. When (even roughly) can we see more of what we (at least I) want most of all.

Thanks for the kind words, Dolarre!

In one sense, you've got it right in that with the reorganization we've adjusted our production schedule slightly. James and/or Jason can likely give you more detailed information, but our next few products (unfortunately, for you ;) ) will be counter packs. We are, however, most definitely committed to putting out more adventures! Why, that's what we love to do most, eh! :D

Gates of Oblivion is on the horizon, I believe. It's currently going through the final stages of (re)development and then there's playtesting. I'm not sure about Revivify, but I do believe that we still plan to produce this one . . . just not right now.

We're also discussing some new ideas for adventures, though nothing's set in stone yet. Anything in particular that you'd like to see us try?

So, in the end, don't worry, FDP will put out more adventures in the future: that's a guarantee. As to when . . . as I mentioned, James and/or Jason know this better than I do.

Did you play QoL or BAR? Why not drop by our 'boards and let us know what happened?

Take care!

Well, as I've posted on a few other boards...

Crossover module with links but not definate ties with another company.

Module set in Freeport or Bluffside.

Sourcebook that deals more with the weird techno/magic items in the Fiery Dragon setting.

The rest of the Rune Swords.

An adventure in a large city for a mid-level group that takes place in the city. No dopplengangers please.

Don't worry... Fiery Dragon is quite busy and a few things that will hopefully surface soon look really great (A Murder in Hollobrae and the Info on the West Wood Barony for example...) I am confident that the announced web supplements on the gods and Hollobrae are equally good...
I wonder if I could get a sneak peek to them, too...

If you look really closely at my website you might find my take on Kinslayer... I already did an adventure with a sword that fit Kinslayer's description to the point so I converted it to d20 (formerly it was "Ars Magica" and "Das Schwarze Auge") and put it on my site...

I'd expect Gates of Oblivion to come out in October of this year. Currently, Todd's finishing up a re-write, and it's being expanded to 64 pages.

It's going to be crazy good!

We're also going to bump up Revivify the Vivid, though I wouldn't expect to see that until next year. I'm anticipating that we'll be releasing Of Sound Mind 2 after Gates of Oblivion; just waiting to work out some details with the very busy Mr. Kulp.

Don't worry, we're not abandoning adventures to become a "Counter Company". Part of our relaunch strategy was to begin with our strongest FDP "Brand Identifier" and the Counter Collections have helped distinguish us from the pack. Now that Counter Pack 1 is out and we're soliciting the next two, we're ready to work hard at putting out the coolest adventures ever!

Very true.

I'd take it a step farther than that: Claudio has definitely forged your "line look" and for a while now I have wondered why he doesn't get to do covers for you guys...

The covers for the Counter Packs feature art by Claudio, mostly expansions of images featured inside.

We've already paid for the cover for Gates of Oblivion by Kieran Yanner, so we'll be using that.

We're keeping Claudio pretty busy with counters and future interior art, but you never know... :)

We certainly appreciate Claudio's artistic ability, and his design sense too. Our new logo is a result of his hard work.

... and James' constant cries of "No texture on the letters!" ;)

James, do you still have those photomanipulated pictures of the owlbear and the nalfeshnee?

I'm photomanipulating my nalfeshnee right now, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.

(Sorry, not sure hong gets over to this forum...)

Sheesh! Green Ronin Demon/Devil counters not good enough?;)

Module set in Freeport or Bluffside.

One can never say never, but you'll soon see from the site relaunch that we will be emphasizing Karathis much more, so, expect the adventures to follow in support (but still retaining their ability to be detachable).

Sourcebook that deals more with the weird techno/magic items in the Fiery Dragon setting.

We perfer the term "Strange Mechanics":) We've talked about a source book, but both Gates of Oblivion and Revivify will carry this aspect of Karathis further along. In fact, Revivify will be jam packed with Stange Mechanics. Like, a lot.

The rest of the Rune Swords.

This is probably closer than you think.

An adventure in a large city for a mid-level group that takes place in the city. No dopplengangers please.

Hmmmmmm...

Anyway, Gates of Oblivion promises to contain more FDP flavor and then some; An extra-dimensional prison world, demons, Tund Dust, Red Smile assassins, Chaos Storms, vampire hunting unicorns...y'know, the usual.

And, Claudio rocks! 'Nuff said!:)
