Just a little blurb from the Friendly Folks over at the EN World Fight Club

Have you tried YBA yet?

What is YBA? I am so glad you asked. YBA (YB Adventures) is a set of rules for a fantasy role-playing game. The game requires no dice and is currently exclusive to EN World's Fight Club. It uses the classic YB Generator for combat and challenge resolution and can be played with 1 judge and 1 or more players (1 or 2 is optimal).

The rules are quite easy to learn. All characters are skill based and classless with the player having total control over the direction the character takes powerwise.

A quick scan through the fight club will show some current YBA adventures and how they are played. Tleilaxu (aka. Turtle) currently has a New Adventure posted if you are interested in trying out the game. Any and all are welcome to try it, either as players or as judges, in fact the more the merrier. One advantage to YBA is that characters are easily transported from one judge's adventure into another judge's adventure.

Hey is it possible to adapt the rules for other forums? I would love to create a version for the something awful forums.

What are the Something Awful Forums? I must have missed that one.

The rules are readily adaptable as is for any number of genres - though we mostly do fantasy kung-fu. The current powers allow for a great variety of interpretations: magic, kung-fu, swashbuckling, etc. Their main weakness, speaking as the author, is they do not allow for ranged attacks, just melee.

It's a comedy site with a huge and active community. Look in the comedy goldmine for examples of this brand of humor.

By adapting it for SA, I would want to rewrite all the descriptions of attacks and so forth, so a 1337 Hax0r would FPROT TARBALL an enemy while Cliff Yablonski beats people with his tire iron. And so forth.

I caught that one at 208 and had already started a new thread yesterday. It just sorta slipped up from 150 to 200 without me realizing it - I will try and pay better attention however and start a new thread when I get to 190 something.
