Message: <blockquote data-quote="Syrsuro" data-source="post: 4430522" data-attributes="member: 58162">IF you choose to mark it.  There is no reason why you can't hit it with your Disruptive Strike and choose to NOT mark the creature.  The fighter's mark is  generally optional, not automatic (unless specifically indicated otherwise in a power's text).  So the fighter gets his choice of scenario 1 or 2, depending on whether he wants the Paladin's mark to be in effect after the attack or his own: 1:  Goblin (marked by Paladin) attacks Paladin; Fighter takes immediate interrupt and attacks Goblin, choosing to overwrite the Paladin's mark.  Assuming the Disruptive Strike hits, the goblin is now marked by the fighter (-2) and under the effects of the Disruptive Strike (-4).  Assuming the goblin is alive, it continues its attack on the Paladin but is now hitting with a -6.  The fighter does not get a free attack in response to the goblin attacking the paladin because he only gets one immediate and used his immediate on the disrupting strike.   Goblin (marked by Paladin) attacks Paladin; Fighter takes immediate interrupt and attacks the Goblin, choosing not to overwrite the Paladin's mark.  Assuming the Disruptive Strike hits, the goblin is still marked by the Paladin and under the effects of the Disruptive Strike (-4).  Assuming the goblin is alive, it continues its attack on the Paladin but is now hitting with a -4.   Scenario 1 is better at this time, but the party may have reasons for wanting the Paladin's mark to remain (maybe they are hoping for the damage, maybe the Fighter is almost dead and doesn't want the extra attention, etc.). Carl</blockquote>
