I dropped out of CharOp work when Arcane Power hit the shelves -- too much to look at, not enough time in the day. However, I'd be hard-pressed to out-cheese a Ranger with the Hero of Faith (Avenger multiclass). It's dead simple to use, you can take a 2nd level Utility power to use the Oath twice per combat (and either a Paragon or Epic feat to apply its first use to two critters, thus allowing you to Oath-stab 3 critters per encounter). And best of all, you don't restrict yourself from taking a kick-butt Ranger Paragon Path.Still, my preference is to twist multi-classing into allowing versatile PCs rather than chunks of one-trick provolone. For example, Ranger (Cleric) -> War Priest takes a Striker, adds a dash of Leader, and at level 16 becomes a very sticky Defender. He's still a competent Striker, but he can cover several roles.Or the Hexhammer: Infernal Warlock (Fighter) -> Iron Vanguard, keeps all the ranged power of a Warlock but adds some brutal melee power, and can tank like a Fighter without adding to the Leader's healing burden.Cheers, -- N</blockquote>
