would a character with 4 levels of fighter and 4 levels of swashbuckler still get the dodge bonus?
Swashbuckler class description said:Weapon Finesse (Ex): A swashbuckler gains Weapon Finesse file:///E:/My Data Not Backed Up/Ha...#Feats_Feats_Feat_Descriptions_Weapon_Finesse as a bonus feat at 1st level file:///E:/My Data Not Backed Up/Ha...ses_Classes_II_Class_and_Level_Features_Leveleven if she does not qualify for the feat.
There isn't.I'm shuddering slightly at the concept of Fighter4/Swashbuckler4, but there's probably a good build behind it that just hasn't occurred to me yet.
On a related note, what's with this?
(emphasis mine)
The 1st level of Swashbuckler gives you +1 BAB. The only prerequisite for Weapon Finesse is +1 BAB. How could you NOT qualify for the feat, having taken the level of Swashbuckler?
if you have the daring warrior feat from complete scoundrel then yes
Maybe this is stretching things a little, but perhaps if you somehow lost your BAB (what) or one of your feats (iirc, you need Dodge to get Spring Attack, so taking Dec damage that brings you below 13 ought to be the point you'd normally lose the feat chain?)The game designers are just kinda oblivious sometimes. I actually noticed a similar thing the other day when looking at the Dervish prestige class in that same book. It eventually gets Spring Attack as a bonus feat, even if you don't meet the prerequisites. Even though...all of Spring Attack's pre-reqs are also requirements for entering the prestige class to begin with!![]()
