Figurine - Elephant - falling damage?

Have figurines changed in 3.5? In 3.0, you had to "toss them down" to activate them, so you couldn't activate them before dropping them on someone's head...

I always used the conjuration rule with figurines - only on a surface capable of supporting them.

(So in 3,0, you cast a hemispherical (bowl-shaped) wall of force over someone's head, summoned an Elder Earth Elemental into the bowl, and then dispelled the wall of force... sure, it takes a while to set up, but if you pull it off, an EEE weighs 60,000 lbs...)

Yeah but just flip that bowl and summon the elemental inside the "dome" with the guy. I think he'll be just as unhappy :)

The player was using a cloak of the bat (and banged it on the ceiling), but in the end we decided it fell on the mummy, doing 2d6 damage (DR applied) and grappled it.

The elephant was not happy about this, so they won't do it again.

Reminds me of the "Concrete Donkey" from Worms Armageddon.
