In which many things happen at once... The crossbow makes a distinct ch-klack noise as Zook cocks it. "Whoa there, guys." says the driver, a little alarmed. "Let's all be real cool, 'mmkay?" Reflexively he slackens rain, slowing the cab. The vehicle behind gains on you. Rethlin, Zook, Kae [sblock] As you look out over the phantom hippogriffs in front of you, something seems ...fuzzy about them. Inside the illusionary hippogriffs are...illusionary griffins? [/sblock] The driver swears. "I told him we were pushing our luck!" He pulls something out of his coat, and it's time for initiative. Let's just clarify the situation here. In terms of space, the skycarriage is like an Oldsmobile sedan: two bench seats that fit three Medium creatures each face each other. Zook can stand up easily. Medium-sized creatures can stand up and stoop to fit under the roof, but not everybody can stand up at once. There are doors on each side of the cab that bolt securely from the inside: they are both bolted now -- it's standard skycab procedure. The doors or bolts could be broken out, but likely not with a single blow. There are windows on each side and at the back: they do not open, but are covered with isinglass that could be shattered if necessary. There are shades that could be drawn down and fastened, if desired. The cab does not have seatbelts. Or airbags. Communication through the driver has been through a narrow sliding panel big enough for someone to stick their head out, if they really wanted to get the driver's attention. Currently that panel is open. You are really high up: not high enough for altitude sickness, but 1500-2000 feet. Falling from this height will be fatal without magical assistance.
