On a recent Mastering Dungeons podcast, Teos and his co-host discussed how sales volume on the DM's Guild has dropped dramatically over the last 2-4 years, and how many people who got their start on the Guild have moved on to write for other companies. There was mention made of groups putting out calls for authors or otherwise seeking them out.
Where would I find that? I enjoy writing adventures and creating things for D&D, but there's no reason I couldn't work outside the Guild on new or different projects if there's alignment. It'd certainly be nice to have someone else handling promotion, editing, helping with more sophisticated layouts, or even just having my work become part of a bundle or anthology that reaches a wider audience.
I'm half-expecting the answer to be on X/Reddit/Facebook/etc., none of which I have a presence on.
