Ok. A thread talking about the magic items we have the opportunity to get. I invited Bill in here because he might have something to say about the availability of something, and because I don't think he'll metagame using this knowledge, and we're going to have to tell him what we want anyways. Here's a review of the email to start us off.
So, for those of you who arn't part of this campaign, feel free to add suggestions for things to fight (Red) Dragons, Medusas and Dopplegangers.
Anyways, fire away!
Items vs the Medusa:
---Stone Salve vials. We can get three doses for 12000. Each will un-petrify one person or cast Stoneskin on him.
---Binoculars with x1 magnification. Clever little thing this: when you look through binoculars, the image is magnified through lenses, reflected back off of two mirrors, and then run through another lense to go back into your eye. The neat thing is that gaze attacks DONT WORK when all you see is the image; you will be looking at the mirror reflection of the medusa instead of at the actual medusa. Hopefully we can jury-rig this thing to be strapped on our head.
Items vs the Dopplegangers:
---Rings of Mind Shielding. Gives you immunity to Detect Thoughts and Discern Lies. Bill has been hammering us with those guy's Detect Thoughts ability and it's high time it stopped.
---Scrolls of Rary's Telepathic Bond: so we will know which of our doubles is actually us. Of course, you guys won't know if I'm real or not, but dopplegangers wouldn't be able to immitate my mount, or my ability to ride my mount. Suckers.
Items vs the Dragon:
---Weapons with the Bane (dragon) ability. This would be nice for a Bow.
---Wand of Resist Energy, 50 charges
---Anything that helps with diplomacy; we might be able to fufill our agreement to Gea without killing the dragon, and by doing so help the dragon's reputation. Just because he's Evil doesn't mean we can't have common cause, eh?
