First Adventure

I'm looking to begin my Golarion campaign (Kingmaker) this Friday night. But I wanted to take the players on a short introductory type adventure.

Is there a free downloadable adventure for the Golarion setting you could recommend? It really doesn't have to be anything too involved and any type of adventure would suffice.

I was recently on Paizo's storefront website, and they sell these "modules" that are basically published adventures but not as large as the Adventure Paths. There is one called "There Be Goblins" or something like that, for which the PDF is free. You could try that one, but I don't know of any that are specifically "Run this for a new group!" kind-of intro adventures.

Edit: One problem is that it's for Goblin player characters. Sounds fun though.

Just to be clear, "We Be Goblins" was a free adventure released for Free RPG day, and all players play a goblin undergoing the adventure.

If you think this is something your players would enjoy, then you can certainly run them through it, but RP-wise, it's going to have zero bearing on what your Kingmaker campaign will look and feel like. That being said, while I haven't played it, I suspect it will familiarize players with some basic concepts.

To my knowledge, there are not free adventures released by Paizo; they sell them instead, because that is how they make a profit.

We Be Goblins was the most recent Free RPG Day release, but you do play goblins in it and not your more traditional character types. While the mod has been getting great feedback, not sure I would lead with that.

You could run the Master of the Fallen Fortress which is also free and was last year's Free RPG Day module from Paizo. It was a good time when I ran it.

There's also D0: Hollow's Last Hope. It leads into D1: Crown of the Kobold King, but the intro is a free PDF.
It's for 3.5 but the compatibility is high.

Thanks all, this is ideal. Three possible adventures for Friday nighgt.

If I may be so bold as to make an observation, and at the risk of sounding ungrateful, I imagine printing out the pdfs will be heavy on the printer.

But all in all, very satisfied.
