"A Truly Open Game," eh?

I wonder if it's too much to hope that they'll use something that's actually "truly open" like Creative Commons for the license instead of the pain-in-the-butt OGL? (And yes, I know it probably is too much to hope for. Still would be nice though)

I believe I've heard that it will be a new system and not based of the d20 OGL.

The linked page says "Building on the previous editions of the game," which I assume mean it uses some variant of Chaosium's BRP system, or at least something similar.
