Hello everyone! I am back with a tale to tell of my first time dming!
Notes: I played this game in a screen room and all my stuff keep blowing all over it was so funny. Note #2 I taped the game on a mini cassete! Well except for the last 5% when I ran out of tape.
There were 3 characters and 2 players ( I npced my frind who was away sking)
Josh(Quiet Kid): Jillen; Elven Fighter; Dual Long Sword
Mike(Physco/Funny/Anoying) Efcon;Human Cleric of Perlor;light Flail.
Jeremy(Smart/Geeky): Elizar; 1/2 Elf Transmuter; Dagger X-bow. (I npced him half-way through the game)
Breif Descp. of the game and a funny quote/ and other funny things that happend.
The Game starts with Jillen and Efcon long time friends relaxing in a tavern after a long-hard pass from the mountian passage to the south.
After sometime a gray haired/bearded man bursts in screaming about how the orcs captured his daughter and demanded a 1,000gp by sunrise tomorrow or they would kil her. He makes his way to the pcs. He begs them for help they agree but Efcon asks "What's the reward?" The Mayor responds by saying he will give them 100gp. Then Efcon says "I got to pay for my chruch...I mean all hungry little kids out there and those poor little anerix
s out, I gotta pay for all of them and the sun god blah blah blah . . .all that bull" (The whole gaming table luaghed our asses off)
6 1/2 (about 10 mins RL time) hours later the pcs stand outside the orc caves. They rush in to have Javelins thrown at them. The first pair of orcs jump to the ground only to have their faces smashed in by fail and long sword alike.
The pc's continue to chamber 2, which houses a freezing stream. 2 orcs also await them there. The battle rages, and sometime through they push and orc into the water, but he rolls a 20(Con Save for swim and cold) and swims out, just to have both legs smashed in.
The pcs spen sevearl minuets looking around in shadowy room three to find nothing, but as they walk on a orc jumps out catching the pcs surprised. He flings a javelin and catachs Efcon in the back for 2 points of damage. Jillen rushs at it with both long swords drawn. The orc dodges both. Efcon decides to throw his flail and luckly (18) it hits the orc for 9 damage(he only had 4 hp) and kills him.
The Cleric now casts cure light wounds on each of themselves and head to the orc dormitory where they confront two orcs hidind behind a tabel flinging javelins. The pcs have the higest init and go first and charge the hiding with their respective weapons. They hit and manage to slay each beast.
They now reach the throne room, and as they are about to confront the Fighter and Shaman a lone 1/2 Elf wizard runs up behind them and franticaly notes how he will help (the players both screamed Jeremey at this time)
Efcon goes first and charges the shaman and hits him for 10 damage (the Shaman had 11 hp) he screams in common "I shall take your lives!" He runs off and uses a secret escape passage. (Plot stuff for latter).
Jillen swings with both swords and misses. Then the orc reacts with his MW Longsword and slash Jillen for 2hp. Directly after that the Orc with 12hp takes a X-Bow bolt from Elizar in the arm and loses 10 hp. It is now Efcon's turn, he attemps to throw his flail but misses. Jillen now attacks with his first long sword and rolls a natural one. I roll the sword falls out of his hand on his next attack he rolls enoguh to hit the orc, and he does 6 damagae more then enoguh to kill him. Jillen grabs the MW Long Sword and hurries on.
As the party heads down to the last corridor, they encounter a Scything Blade trap which knocks jillen to 1 hp. In the Next room they break the lock on the cage and loot the room. With the mayors daughter saved they head for home.
They camp about 3 miles from the village to be greeted by hooves in the morning. Elizar who was on march happens to hit 1 of the two riding orcs with a light x-bow for 8 damage killing it. The orc's light warhorse tails it out of there. This is quite funny, The Orc hit Jillen right in the heads with a GClub for 10 damage Jillen (and Josh) is pissed he rises and jumps(5 foot step) and swings with his new MW Long Sword. Critacal! Hit! (Josh is sqeuling with excitment at this time quite funny) I rule that the blow servered the top half of the orc from his body. (The tape dies here.)
They Return to the village for a reward. They recive 100gp, ontop of the 200gp they looted. Jillen gives the mayor his old Long Sword as a memoir, they three return to a tavern as they are stopped by a man cloaked in black...END Session 1.
