Fists of Fury

First Post
Here's the wording of the ability:

Fist of Fury: A fighter with fist of fury may once per fight per fist of fury known, post a second generated move. This second move is not compared to the opponents move. If the first generated move scores points then the second generated move scores points as well and the points from both moves are added together. Fist of Fury may not be used in connection with chi strike!

Emphasis mine. My question is this: Does using an opponent's sig style as your second move score you a second point, or does Immunity cancel that point?

Wording should be added to the effect that "Points from the second move are tallied as normal, taking into account both fighters signature styles and other possible powers."

The short answer is, Immunities still operate if the second move generated contains a style the other fighter is immune to.

For what its worth, I am hoping tomorrow to have the time to make the updates to the rules.

Then in my match vs. Rathan, when he used "Dragon" as his second move in FoF, it should only have scored one point. "Dragon" was the day, and I have Holy Warrior.

I also have a question.

You are a brown belt with 2 fist of fury's and you are playing a strategy match.

You use a fist of fury on round one and round two. Your opponent Dirty tricks on round two which will leave you with one move left to play for round two and no moves for round 3. Is that right?

If that is right I think we need a hand of at least 6 moves.

That sounds right though i have not been following the match.

As to the strategy match and 2 fist of fury. Hands of 6 would be acceptable as long as both players agreed to it. However, in the above example, the 5 moves would still work and at the end of which the other player would have used 3 anyway - a dirty trick in a strategy match still causing the villain to lose one of their moves.

well if you fist of fury you use 2 moves. Dirty trick and you have to use another move yet for round one.(3 moves) Fist of fury again on round 2 another 2 moves. That leaves you with no moves after round 2. and if you went against someone with two dirty trick and they would Dk the second round you would have 6 moves used before round three.

So I guess we could have 7 moves generated when a brown belt and gang lord face off. :)

It was my impression that a DTed still counted as a round for the purposes of generating hands....

Seeing as how the rules note that a DT doesn't really do any harm to a Yakuza who uses it on the third move of a hand, that seems to imply that after the third move is DTed the next hand is generated.

Though this can become an issue if someone gets three FoFs. Then we might have to go to 6 moves per hand.

ok - here is how it should go.

round 1
fist of fury 2 moves (3 left) vs. Dirty Trick (4 moves left)

Round 1 again
Chi strike (2 left) vs. Move (3 left)

Round 2
Fist of fury 2 moves (0 left) vs. Dirty Trick (2 left)

Draw new hand
Round 2 again......

Two fists of fury is really not a problem - the problem will come in when a fighter has access to at least 3 fists of fury.
