Fixer Up

Why is it that when a gaming group encounters an area that is overrun with foul monsters and creepy enemies they want to remodel the recently cleared dungeon for their own use? Be it a cool wizard’s tower or an orc infested and rundown keep, players love to claim not only the treasure but also include the dungeon in the spoils.

This episode is one in a series that we have produced that feature perks and other aspects of the game that are not combat.

Personally, I love it when this happens. Or when the pcs invest in a business, buy a house, etc- anything that ties them more deeply to the world.

As they move in and remodel, take this as an opportunity to remodel it yourself, including some secret passages they "missed", the odd magical portal, or even the unsuspected ancient burial ground...

So juuuuust as they're getting settled in, something ugly starts wandering ThA halls.

Why, yes- I AM a RBDM.

My group moved into a castle that they "liberated" from a mad wizard. Did they kill him? No, just let him get away......
