One day pirates attacked a star port that his 'family' was trading at and several militarymembers were there. They assisted in the star ports' defense even when the pirates had the advantage and were boarding. Endross scared half out of his mind pushed one of the officers over as he was struggling to get the comms up to call for back up. Endross asked a few questions, slapped the controls around a few times, and wham they had comms. Shortly after that he accepted training in the UP military, quickly rising through the ranks due to his innate understanding of communications. He was one of the youngest Technical Officers to accept a commission and take command. He relies a bit on his tactical officers he believes a good offense is the best defense. If they are dead they can hardly fight back. He does however have an immense appreciation for the EW and subtle side of a tactical engagement to which some jar heads find disconcerting because they are quite aware that he does not mind just going and blowing things up, and are waiting for him to get to it already, instead of all of this techincal dancing.</blockquote>
