By the swallow marches hung A whittle whistle-song can be sung When you turn and cannot see The flickered light behind the scree But when you find what can’t be found Glowing shapes followed by a sound And when you join in that whittling note Take heed to what the fair folk wrote Flickerling Diminutive Fey Hit Dice: 3d6 (10 hp) Initiative: +12 (+12 Dex) Speed: Fly 30ft. perfect AC: 26 (+12 Dex, +4 size) Touch 26, Flat-footed 10 Base Attacks/Grapple: 1/-11 Attack: Slam +17 (1d8 light) Full Attack: Slam +17 (1d8 light) Space/Reach: 1ft by 1ft Special attacks: Light touch Special Qualities: Flicker, radiate Saves: Fort +0, Ref +15, Will +6 Abilities: Str 1, Dex 34, Con 10, Int 12, Wis 17, Cha 14 Skills: Balance +18, Disable Device +7, Hide +26, Move silently +18, Search +4, Sleight of hand +18, Survival +4, Tumble +18 Feats: Fly by attack, Wingover, Weapon finesse (b) Environment: Warm marshes and forests Organization: 1-2 Challenge Rating: 5 Treasure: 1 trinket (Minor art made of a precious metal) Alignment: Non-evil chaotic Advancement: By character level Level adjustment: 4 The Flickerling rarely stands still, being so full of energy not many people get to see what they look like. Most Flickerlings stand 1-1/2 feet tall and weighs about 1 pound. Flickerlings speak Sylvan. Some also speak Common, although they usually end up speaking to fast to be understandable. Flickerlings simple seem to be ball of fast moving light dancing around, they are however very small fey in tune with the radiant elemental plane. They usually live in marshes and woodlands causing havoc with travellers to there own glee. Combat: Light touch (Su): By being partly in touch with the plane of radiance, when the Flickerling touches an opponent they may inflict 1d6 points of light damage. This doesn’t work in a field of magical darkness. Flickering (Ex): The Aura of the Flickerling goes through the visible spectrum and out cycling through different colours, every once in a while becoming invisible to all sight that requires light. Every 1d4 rounds the Flickerling becomes invisible (an effect lasting 2 rounds), except that creatures with Dark vision can see them. Radiate (Ex): In it’s natural state the Flickerling is visible (though not glowing), mainly because of a fiercely glowing aura that cycles through all of the colours and then off. Because of this when the flickling is light it can choose to radiate a soft light that acts like a torch, of a randon colour 1d8, reroll 7.
