flurry of blows

First Post
I don't know why, but I find ways to make PCs have the most attacks possible, such as a knuk/tempest/lasher with rapid shot and multi task (I think it works, but this isn't what I'm arguing)

In my campaign There are two NPCs helping the 4 PCs on their adventures. One is a monk/fighter that will become an order of the bow initiate, and the other is a spunky rouge that will be a deepwood sniper. In my last session, the monk used a bow with rapid shot and flurry of blows, and my question is "is this against the rules?"

One of the players challenged this and looked it up in the players handbook just because he wanted to prove me wrong. I showed him there that it says nohting about having to used unarmed strike or monk weapons.

He said it was a technicality in the rules, and I'm just wondering what you guys think, and if there has been an errata.

Any more ways to upgrade attacks/round would be fun too:D

It doesn't specify unarmed attacks but it does specify which weapons can be used with it. and also if you can use it while using another weapon.

I'm surprised you even need to ask whether flurry of blows with a bow is "against the rules". Of course it is. That ability is clearly only available when using unarmed/kama/nunchaku/siangham, quite apart from the fact that you don't strike blows with a bow - you fire arrows.

ARG, not again

Where does it say that, my PHB has been known to not have everything in it, such as the fact that if a druid adventures she only gets her caster level in animal campanions and not twice that.

not again:rolleyes:

How about with a sling?
