It may just be me, but everytime I click on anything in these forums and then switch to a different screen (yes, I have multiple screens up at any one time), I'm forced back to ENWorld once the screen loads. This, to me, is a tad annoying.

You click on a link. You're waiting for it to load, so you go to another screen and start reading it. When the original screen loads, or reaches a certain point in the loading process, it becomes the active screen and pops up, covering up what you were reading. Correct?

I don't think Morrus can do anything about it. Doesn't it happen with any web page you load? Or is it just EnWorld? Sounds like it's just the way Windows and IE interact with each other.

This is correct. And its just ENWorld that does this to me.

I agree with Michael Morris, it is IE, not EN. :)

Where other sites are like a slow trickle of packets, EN World seems to be more like the wave motion gun.....*click* loading....loading....loading...loa *BANG!!!!*

And presto, you get yoinked back.

Agreed, to a point. I used to have similar problems with Windows XP and IE6. I downloaded TweakUI from the Microsoft site (always use TweakUI) and told it to prevent focus stealing. Been fine ever since.

If you're running XP, go here to download TweakUI or any of the other PowerToys.

Note: All the PowerToys are provided as-is by Microsoft. If it frags your system, they won't take responsibility and neither will I. That said, I've never had a problem.
