thesage says, "Followers are 1st level (soemtimes 2nd levelor higher depending on your level). I dojn;t ythink (and I sure can;lt find) anything that suggest folowes have to be form NPC classes. Here's a case, however, where you have to use the NPC's ECL (actaula level plus level adjustment). /ga
No, the wording is definitely different in the 3.5 DMG. I specifically remember the 3.0 rule being that followers gained through Leadership had to be NPC classes. The question is whether or not they shuffled the stipulation to another part of the book, which it looks like they haven't.Spatzimaus said:IIRC, the 3E DMG never said Commoner/Warrior/Expert, it was the ELH (and FAQ?) that added that limitation. 3.5E doesn't really change the DMG wording from 3E, so I'd say if you used the ELH rule before, it'd still apply now.

So the limitation is gone. 100 1st level Barbarians is a whole lot different than 100 1st level Commoners...I'm surprised there's been no discussion whatsoever on this topic. Quite the change.
Totally. Or 50 to 60 1st level rogues and you've got a nice little guild. You can actually use the feat to set up cool organizations now instead of having a nice cohort and a hundred groupies that tend to your mansion while you're away.Stalker0 said:I agree, heck an army of 1st and 2nd level clerics and wizards... and holy crap you've got yourself a powerful little army there.
