[chokes on drink]What?! Okay, maybe better than K-State fans... You should have seen the look of complete and utter shock in Columbia, MO, last Fall when the Huskers took a beatdown from the Tigers. I distinctly remembered how, in the men's room and in the stands how smug all of the Husker fans were during the game--even until the end of the third quarter. When Missouri pulled way ahead, the NU fans dejectedly left midway through the 4th. Best fans, indeed. :p Although I am a huge MU fan I do take our fans to task sometimes. Still, it is hard work being a MU football fan after years and years of mediocrity. :) I would have to say that my visit to Oklahoma University last Fall was very pleasant. Their fans are cordial and gracious in winning, at least (I am sure any Texas fan may have something to add to this...). I don't know if I would blame Solich. Parity across the NCAA and especially in the Big 12 is showing its not so ugly head. I really couldn't believe that Solich got fired. I mean, sheesh. NU went 10-3 (5-3) and only lost to Shadowdancer's Texas, my MU, and the despicable Wildcats. As far as running up scores? NU is nothing. Go talk to the coaching staff at K-State and OU about running up scores. By the way, anyone see this preseason's rankings yet?
