I'd give every bit of spare cash I had (still gotta eat :(), and probably a bit more, in order to get the Teleportation helm or the Decanter of Endless Water. The 'port helm would be nice. Three times per day lets me go to and from college, with an extra port left over (maybe I'd go college-theatre-home as a trip). I would sure save money on gas, with not having to travel 70+ miles a day. Not to mention the thieving abilities... All I'd need is a bar or two of gold from Fort Knox or the treasury-thingy in New York. Melt those suckers down and sell gold chunks to several pawn shops across the country/world (since I can 'port some). As far as the DoEW, that has various uses. If nothing else, it's a cheap way to get water in the home. Set it to geyser and fill up you water tank, and you can always use it to water the garden, or the fields if you have a farm. It's high-pressure mode would be good for washing the car. There's also the altruistic methods mentioned above. We're always looking for sources of water for space travel, too. Maybe set the thing on "Geyser" mode in orbit around the moon, or between the Earth and Mars somewhere. We would have an infinite supply of water (eventually) ready to use, in the form of ice. Just fly a ship up there and chip off a piece; or take it with you on a generational-style ship. (and charge $$$ for it, say, several billion? That would be all I'd need.) ...Maybe you could hold the world hostage with the DoEW? "Do as I say, or I flood the Earth! Mwa Ha Ha hahahahaha!" Then again, one cubic meter per minute isn't exactly scary... It would take about 500,000,000,000 years to have any noticeable difference. Oh well...
