For those with Kids: What age did you introduce them to D&D?

My daughter is going to be an awesome DM because she loves to role-play and draws very nice picturs of the characters and places they have adventured. My son is going to be a good DM because he likes to roleplay funny and just plain odd characters.</p><p></p><p>The only problem I had is with my son being AD/HD. But he has come a very long ways in controlling his antsy behavior and wandering attention span to where he is no worse than the adults I play with. This major change came in just the last 6 months. No, my son is not on meds, we tried it but it caused him a lot of stomach pain/vomiting, no matter what type it was.</p><p>So we have helped him learn to control his AD/HD the hard way, sheer will.</p><p></p><p>My kids always wanted to play D&D because of how much fun the adult group was always having (all the laughing and yelling). So when they proved they could remember everything about their character I ran a game just for them. It has been fun for all of us ever since.</p><p></p><p>i also hope it will keep my kids talking to me when they go through the teenage years. Hopefully, it will also help them listen to my advice over their peers. We shall see.</p></blockquote><p></p>
