Oh, holy crap.

Space Privateers!

Protestant and Catholic Space Wars!

Roundhead Space Caravels versus Cavalier Space Cogs!

Shakespearean Fusilliers!

The possibilities are endless!

Oh man, now *that* would make a fun campaign.

"Whaddaya mean our touch-hole hand-gonne's don't work in space? Darn."

Though if the gravity part were true, we'd be sure to have never invented hand-stands... :)

It would be fun to take a couple of The Bard's plays and rework the plots to work in space. Midsummer Night's Dream on the moon with moonfolk instead of fairies? Henry V space opera?

Yeah, or how about The Tempest, only instead of Prospero you have a stranded, slightly insane scientist and Ariel is a Robot and Caliban is an invisible force that is the dark side of the scientists personality, and...what do you mean, done already?
:p

Seriously though, good idea. I've already riffed several Shakespeare plays in my campaign.
