Ok, Here is the deal. We will be starting a Cormyr based campaign, set fairly far in the past. I think our GM said during the reign of Azouth IV, if I am remembering correctly. I am going to be playing a straight fighter type. This will be a heavily role playing based campaign. I am working on a character background, and here is what I have so far. The character was born in an outlying town ( GM hasn't stated starting point yet ). His mother, a local prostitute and tavern girl, died during childbirth, and his fathers identity is unknown. He was taken in by the tavern owner, who just called him Boy, until the age of 12, when he became too much to handle for the old man. So the old man called in a favor, and he was sent to the local garrison. He grew to be a huge young man, and incredibly strong. The older young men at the garrison would call him "whoreson" and "bastard" but after a few broken arms, not to his face. The warriors however, came up with another name for him...... I have done alot more background about his years at the garrison, but won't bore you with that, to the crux Here is where I am stuck. I want his name to be something based on his overly large frame, and his phenomenal strength. And I don't want anything stupid, like bear, orc, ogre...I would like something that has some foundation in the Cormyr setting. Maybe a Realms word meaning Bear, something along that line... Any help would be appreciated, Patrick
