Message: <blockquote data-quote="Gregor" data-source="post: 1751100" data-attributes="member: 11751">I think Mistledale would work really well for what you are looking for:- The small town of Ashabenford lies right on the River Ashaba which cuts through the region and all the Dales in general.- The area is surrounded by the massive woods of Cormanthyr(sp?).  Within these woods are a few sections that are rumoured as haunted such as Galeth's Roost, a mansion south in Battledale etc.- You could easily start in the small villages of Peldan's Helm or Glen, both of which have low populations (under 500 I think)- The beastlands which lie directly to the West and just outside of Mistledale territory are rumoured to be littered with old Netherese burial grounds and mounds which occaisionally spawn undead fighter-mages.  Could make for some cool Netherese ruins exploring.  Moreover, Mistledale is in close proximity to the vast desert of Anauroch(sp?) where Netheril once stood.With all sorts of things troubling Mistledale (drow raids, gnolls, foul denizens from Myth Drannor, Cult of the Dragon) adventurers are always needed.cheers,</blockquote>
