If you have not already, please come and check out The Living Web The concept of The Living Web is simple, it is a shared world in which players can use the same character under different DMs. How many times have you played in a campaign but didn't like the DMs style? So you created a new character for a new campaign. In The Living Web, you can switch DMs while still using the same character. This means, if you have been playing with the same character for a year and your DM leaves, you can continue using the same character with a different DM, instead of having to search for a new DM and start from scratch. Another unique feature of The Living Web is that the actions of your character can affect all future games run by Living Web DMs. For instance, if your group of adventurers burn down the hamlet of Essembra, than Essembra will be a smouldering ruins in every Living Web DM's game. Long after your character has retired, the changes that were made to the setting will live on. The Living Web has been running for over 3 years, and we are always looking for more players and DMs. There are several new campaigns starting, so if you are interested, please come and sign up for an account in our forums. We use 3.5 rules and play via the openRPG and webRPG programs. http://www.arpeegee.com/
