I've Heard that rumors that "Unapproachable East" will be the last Forgotten Realms sourcebook.

What about that rumor ? (fake or real ?)

Where did you hear the rumour? It's the first I've heard of it.

It wouldnt surprise me since FR isn't Gygax's pet project Greyhawk is. So any FR stuff will definatly take a backseat IMO

I'd be very surprised if that rumor was true. Forgotten Realms is still very big, both at WotC and among D&D players. Greyhawk is also a grand old campaign, but they've pledged to officially leave that world alone so the Living Greyhawk people can use it to adventure in without the world being changed on them. Even with their new campaign setting chosen, it still doesn't make sense for them to abandon a setting that's a winner for them so far.

Gygax has no control over WOTC's release schedule. He doesn't work there and never has.

Who knows how these rumors get started. It could be something as simple as seeing that there's nothing on the public release schedule beyond The Unapproachable East, or it could be someone intentionally trying to derail people's faith in the product line because their favorite line was dropped. This is only a rumor, and should be taken with less than a grain of salt.
