"Over here you silly sword and shield thingie!" The Construct obliges and <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2589621/" target="_blank">swings (1d20+8=22, 1d20+8=24)</a> both blades, but misses the adroit halfling and grazes one of the columns with a sword. It begins to rise slowly toward the ceiling flailing its blades helplessly. Garagos starts to expertly hack at the nearest construct. He manages to hit it two stout blows and while clearly damaged, it is not yet out of the fight. Zorn carefully moves around the column to get a clear shot at one of the constructs (C1). Calling upon his innate magical abilities, he unleashes a powerful bolt of electrical energy, which the floating construct is powerless to resist. A shower of sparks rains down from the damaged construct.Harrison lands a devastatingly powerful blow that leaves the shield (C2) nearly split in twain, but the Construct soldiers on. Ballista steps back carefully from the trundling automatons and begins to sing, weaving her wiley magics into the words. Her haunting words spurring her comrades to greater feats of battle prowess.The Constructs clatter forward to press the attack and unleash a <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2589630/" target="_blank">swarm of angry blades (1d20+8=21, 1d20+8=15, 1d20+8=12, 1d20+8=24, 1d20+8=13, 1d20+8=14, 1d20+8=22, 1d20+8=18, 1d20+8=11, 1d20+8=9, 1d20+8=13, 1d20+8=9, 1d20+8=22, 1d20+8=14)</a> on the hapless explorers. The first Construct <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2589649/" target="_blank">stabs (1d8+8=12)</a> Zorn, but misses Jillian. The warriors, Harrison and Garagos have armor that easily turns the blades of the Constructs. Ballista avoids four cuts and not to be outdone, Logan has excellent defenses to protect him from such simple mindless attacks. Logan changes spells and casts Searing Light at the construct that Garagos is battling. Aided by Ballista's magical song, Logan's searing blast of light just barely hits its mark and sears even brighter than usual. The power of his divine magic very nearly brings an end to the Construct and it is barely able to continue.
