[FR] Bouncing new campaign ideas off of you...

First Post
Yesterday I posted a thread (both at the D20 System Games forum here and at RPG.net) about Swashbuckling Adventures and whether it would work for a pulpy swashbuckling Forgotten Realms. I think I've decided, thanks to you folks, to go hunting for the book after class today. So now I thought I'd start bouncing some of my ideas for the campaign off of you and see what you had to say. So, here goes...

Campaign Name: Pulp Faerun
Character generation: start at 1st level; begin with 10's in all stats, 36 points to spend on a one-for-one basis (average stats are thus 16); free Parry feat (as seen in Dragon 301); +1 item; all party members receive an Oath ring (from Relics and Rituals 2)
Adventures: first session or two set in the Silver Marches -- involve busting up a fledgling thieves guild and an encounter or two with the orc hordes of King Obould Many-Arrows. After that, will return to their hometown (this is still in the early "just an idea" planning stages, but I want the town to be a city of my own design that will carry both the high adventure feel I want as well as a bit a political intrigue). Time will be spent along the Sword Coast, both on land and at sea. Major plotlines have yet to be developed, but with lean heavily towards the Zhentarim (Bane version) and the Cult of the Dragon's machinations.

I know there's not alot here, it's all still kinda just germing in my head, but I'm pumped to get started working, I guess I was just looking for comments and input before I do. And yes, I know the characters are a bit high on the power scale, it's no biggie, I figure we all need to cut loose every once in a while.

Have you seen the issue of Dragon with the Swashbuckling stuff in it? I think it's pretty good, and might give you some help on the campaign!
