Mortal kingdoms are spurned into desparate defense against the onslaught of monsters gathered by the Black Hand's servants. While no mortal will be able to change the outcome of the war between gods, which must run its course, in the Forgotten Realms a perilous mortal war against Bane's servants has begun to unfold. Can the heroes survive in an exceedingly hostile world? Will they be able to thwart the plans of Bane's servants, as the Lord of Darkness schemes in the shadows behind them?
