Freaky exotic weapon

Just recently saw House of 1000 Corpses. I was rather inspired by Dr. Satan's funky set of tools, so I adapted it to my game and wrote up the stats, just curious if it is balanced...

Genomancer's Apparatus

The Genomancer's Apparatus is a set of heavy metal poles worn over the shoulders. Springs attached to the poles lead to another set of poles on each arm, allowing the instruments (a scalpel over the right wrist, and a trio of primitive hypodermic needles on the left) to be stashed away from the genomancer's range of movement when they are not needed. The three needles can be loaded with poison without the typical risk of poisoning oneself, assuming the loader has proficency with the apparatus. The genomancer's apparatus can be used as a double weapon.

Sounds like an evil instrument, but my personal feeling is that the price might be too high. 900 gp. is alot, more than most Masterworked weapons even. The damage/critical range doesn't merit such a price, nor do I think that the poison-applying advantage does. I would probably sell it for 300-500 gp. in my own campaign. This is based on my own opinion though, not any scientific comparative examinations :)
