Message: <blockquote data-quote="Villano" data-source="post: 1116415" data-attributes="member: 505">I cast "Raise Topic"  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile    :)"  data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /> Finally got to see it last week.  Pretty good even though the lead actress was so bad I was hoping she'd get killed by both Freddy and Jason...and then brought back to life and killed again.  I did really enjoy the fact that they didn't wimp out on it.  It's a solid R-rated film.  And they kept them both evil!  Wow, that shocked me.  I was expecting Jason to turn good.I miss Kane Hodder, though.  He brought subtlety to the role that the new guy lacks.BTW, it's been revealed why Hodder was replaced.  It turns out they filmed in Canada and the new Jason is Canadian.  It turns out that you get some kind of tax break or something due to Canadian law.As with most things in the world, it's Canada's fault.  <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":D" title="Big grin    :D"  data-smilie="8"data-shortname=":D" />I'm a big fan of B-movies of the past, and I've heard similar stories concerning European productions.  I recall a European director being asked why one of the lead actresses in one of his films was so bad and he admited that he hired her because of her nationality and the tax break only.Another story I remember was, I think, a Spanish film which shot in Italy.  They had to add an Italian co-director in the credits even though the guy apparently only did one or two 2nd unit shots.  It turns out, years later the Italian was claiming that he shot the vast majority of the film.  Needless to say, it ticked off the actual director.  The leads were interviewed and admitted that they never worked once with the Italian guy, which easily discredits his story.Anyway, back to F VS J.  If you have the least bit of interest, you should check it out.  The final fight is worth the price of admission.In fact, this is the last week for it locally, so I'm off to see it once more today.   <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f60e.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":cool:" title="Cool    :cool:"  data-smilie="6"data-shortname=":cool:" /></blockquote>
