So we were thinking, what if the spell had a 0 DC?  For example, take the Fortify Seed, have the caster take 42d6 damage (-42 DC), have it take 10 minutes to cast (-18) and have 3 other casters (there are four of us in the party) contribute an epic spell slot (-57).  Grand total: 117DC.  Fortify for age is +1 age and +1 per DC, starting at 17.  So for no XP or money and a day researching, you can add 101 years onto your age range.  Not too bad.Of course, taking 10 minutes and 4 casters and 42d6 damage means this isn't something you want to do every day, so we'll just look at permanent effects.  That makes the effective free DC 23.  With that you can get 14 energy resistance (once for each type) and 9 damage resistance for each attack type (bludgeoning etc).  IT's interesting what epic spellcasters can come up with when they don't have anything to do one sunday, huh?-The Souljourner</blockquote>
