Free RPG Day Dark Sun adventure

Looks like the WotC contribution for Free RPG Day is a 1st level Dark Sun adventure, Bloodsand Arena. It is a 24 page module with poster map and a set of pregen character sheets done up in the Gameday/Encounters style.

Free RPG Day is June 19.

I'd like to run this module at the game store on Free RPG Day. Unfortunately, the store owner is on vacation until Tuesday. Can someone with the module give me an estimate on how long it would take to run? I've read that it is two "mini-adventures" but I'm unsure what that means. Are the two adventures connected? Is there any plot for the adventure or is it really just a pair of encounters? Any info that would help me plan would be great, including whether the provided poster map covers all the encounters or if I will need tiles, suggestions for minis, etc. I'll have the module in my hands later this week, but a few extra days to prep would help, especially as I'm new to Dark Sun.

The sample characters are up on the wizards site, but when I downloaded the zip file, it seems to be corrupted or something. Format unknown. Anyone else having that problem?

Edit: Also, any stores in the Greater Toronto Area participating? The site only has one store in Toronto and one in Vaughn. That's disappointing.

I got an "unsupported compression method 98" when trying to unzip the file. However, StuffIt Expander on my Mac opened the file fine.

The characters are:
Ulieth -- Elf Resilient Battlemind (Wilder)
Morg -- Mul Thunderborn Barbarian (Gladiator)
Pak'Cha -- Thri-Kreen Animist Shaman (Elemental Priest)

Kindrok -- Male Goliath Arena Fighter (Gladiator)
Suldin -- Human Illusionist Wizard (Veiled Alliance)
Vinara -- Human Sorcerer-King Pact Warlock (Templar)

The warlock has Arcane Defiling, for those who were wondering.

I also now have the physical copy of the module. I was worried that with a name like "Bloodsand Arena" it would be a plotless deathmatch. I'm happy to say it isn't. There's even a successful path through the module that keeps the players entirely out of the arena. As much time is spent on skill challenges as is spent on combat. And the actual arena contest has a fun competitive mechanic rather than just "kill or be killed." For intrigue, the top 3 characters know each other but do not know the bottom three (and vice versa), leading to some interesting dynamics and roleplay opportunities.

You will need tiles or something other than the provided poster map for the first encounter, but the exact terrain is left open so the DM can improvise.

I'm looking forward to Saturday.

Same problem here.

The characters are:

Kindrok -- Male Goliath Arena Fighter (Gladiator)
Suldin -- Human Illusionist Wizard (Veiled Alliance)
Vinara -- Human Sorcerer-King Pact Warlock (Templar)

These seem to be the characters posted on critical-hits.com (the DDXP pre-gens).
