In an interesting bit of theming, Need Games has released the “quickdeath” rather than quickstart for their plague-themed game of medieval historical roleplay Piaga 1348. Play a 14th century soldier of the Ordo Mortis, an undercover army fighting a secret war against the Revenant Plague, an undead menace hiding among the death and destruction of the bubonic plague.
If you’re looking for some critters for your Shadowrun 5e games, Warped Plots has Invasive Neighbors with a trio of new adversaries with a critter, a plant, and a spirit.
The players’ ship makes a final jump before running out of cores, finding a space station of sort assembled from the remnants of dozens of ships in Mothership: Lost Mark, a one-shot from Fables.Monster. Their arrival sets off a chain of events with a real-world timer before the structure collapses so the players have a ticking clock to unravel the mystery and escape.
It’s Shark Week! For those who aren’t aware, the US cable network Discovery every year holds a special week of programming focusing on the terrors of the seas, sharks. If you haven’t heard the news yet about the Diamond Distribution bankruptcy, the distributor has filed a request in court to keep all of the consignment inventory it has – inventory technically owned by the publishers – and sell it off without paying money to those publishers to pay off their creditors. Green Ronin, the TTRPG publisher behind The Expanse, Mutants & Masterminds, AGE System, and more is one of the companies affected by this attempt to lay claim to hundreds of thousands worth of their products. The company has launched a GoFundMe to pay for legal defense to retain ownership of their own books. At the time of writing, they have raised over $31,000 against a $50,000 goal from over 200 donations.
