Would a freedom of movement spell protect you from being stunned?

If it's a magical/spell-like stun ability... maybe.

Don't make more out of spell effects than they give. Freedom of Movement doesn't help you when grappled either.

I was looking to know if it protected against a power word stun. The spell is kind of vague.

I would allow FoM to allow you to escape a grapple on your turn. It seems in keeping with the spirit of the spell.
