If you are interested in this type of game you may want to check http://www.eve-online.com for a MMORPG type of setup. I'm doing some Beta testing for it at the moment and it is awesome (I normally hate MMORPG's, so that in itself is a good indicator of how good it is). The full game gets released on May 6th.
Major points in the game:
great graphics
best UI i've seen in a game ever
market/trading system is almost perfect (and will get better by the realease date)
Ship combat is as it should be - slow manouvering and dangerous to your health
star systems are rated for their PC security (so no PvP in certain systems)
absolutely massive world
finallly a new game to waste hours of my life playing!!!!
