Pathfinder 1E Freeport for Pathfinder?

First Post
I just picked up the new pathfinder Freeport companion and love it.
My question in about the adventures themselves. The appear to be written for 3.5, so some tweaking may be needed for pathfinder. Anyone have any experience or advice with this? I jumped from 2.5 to 4e, and am now moving to pathfinder if that makes a difference.

Basically, you can assume that generally, Pathfinder PCs can handle encounters at 1 CR higher than 3.5 PCs, so if the adventures are written for 5th level PCs under 3.5, you can get away with 4th level Pathfinder PCs. As far as tweaking the monsters goes, just add on 1 hp/HD and calculate CMB and CMDs for them.

Yeah, I'm running a Pathfinder campaign that's pirate themed called Reavers on the Seas of Fate that is using Freeport mashed up with Riddleport from the Second Darkness AP. I mixed in the whole Freeport Trilogy with the first SD chapter, Shadow In The Sky, as well as some other stuff from Denizens of Freeport. All our session summaries are up on my site; it worked out very well.

In general, as Kvantum points out, it's as easy as Pathfinder PCs can handle 3.5 CRs one higher. I made some other changes out of preference, though - like the Paizo serpentfolk from Enter the Darklands, Serpent's Skull, etc. are so much better than the wimpy 1 HD serpentfolk of Freeport. Just sub them in and reduce their numbers, this makes them more rare and scary and less like "mobs that are weaker than orcs" which is how it sometimes came off in the Freeport Trilogy.

My first PF campaign used old Freeport material. I think I handled most conversion on the fly, but I do recommend calculating CMB and CMD stats ahead of time.

the beaty of 3.5/pathfinder is the bacwards compatability, where with minimal to no change is needed to play a pf pc in 3.5 or a 3.5 in pc in pf.
