Freeport in the Realms

Have anyone tried running the Freeport modules in the Realms? What kind of conversions did you did with regards to religion, monsters, locales etc. I was thinking of placing Freeport in the Sword Sea, possible Lantan.. but the piracy stuff and the fact that you can tie in the adventures backstory with the serpent folk of Faerun makes me want to place it in the Pirate Isles...

Any suggestions?

I don't have the FRCS in front of me, but I believe that somewhere tropical would be good. There are a few posts on Green Ronin's message boards about using FR or Greyhawk deities/setting...

There are four known pirates bases in the region of Faerun.

The Nelanther / City of Skaug -- See Lands of Intrigue (available for free on WoTC website)
The Pirate Isles - Pirates of the Sea of Fallen Stars (available as a PDF for $5, I believe)
Narubel - See Serpent Kingdoms (actually shown on the map in Forgotten Realms Atlas)
Bay of Pirates - See Shining South
