Stargate Friends and Foes Stargate Friends and Foes The second season of Stargate really started laying down some serious groundwork for the rest of the show. The second season is one of my personal favorites and I am pleased it got published. With the license no longer in AEG’s hands, there are not many books for Stargate. But the ones out there do the job of setting up so much that they are easily enough to run this game for many years. Stargate Friends and Foes is the fourth book in the Stargate RPG series. The book is soft cover, full color, and is one hundred and seventy six pages long. The layout is the same as the other books in the series making the look of the books very consistent. The book starts with a nice introduction into the second season and then goes right into describing all the episodes. Almost the first eighty pages discusses and dissects the season. The book describes the new worlds that SG-1 visited, summaries each episode and give important background information. There are so many little adventure seeds in these episodes that this book alone could be used for years of gaming in a Stargate campaign The main people of the episodes are described next. Each is given stats for low medium and high level to show how the characters advance and to give one nice options of which to use. . This covers about fifty pages most of supporting cast from the different shows. Each of them is given a nice background that goes in greater detail then what was learned on the show. This makes these characters very easy to use as a returning character. There are a few new feats her and other rule information. It seems they stick a few of these in the back of each book granted the new feats, classes, equipment, etc take up the last fifty odd pages.
