[QUOTE="The_Baldman, post: 5137544, member: 15080"] To be honest not sure yet. This is all very new to us so while I want to be helpful as possible I also do not want to promise something that I cannot backup. Managed expectations is a big thing with me (give people what you promise and they'll be a lot happier then promising them double and only giving half). As an independent DM you will of course be responsible for all your normal paperwork with Gencon. I have nothing to do with that end (outside of us maybe being able to clear up something or have a copy of a form you might need). My thought is that in the end you guys want to sit at a clean table, have your players know where to go, and have a nice game with as few interruptions as possible. Anything I can do to help with that is all good. We'll run people off who are squatting in your space, direct players looking for your game to the right area, and even help wrangle up a few extras if your table is short if we can (we have dozens of players just wandering and looking to play something pretty much around the clock). What you guys can do to help with this? Run your game in a fashion that they sync up with our schedule and you'll find more players. Our games run in 4 1/2 chunks (really 4 hours and some paperwork) starting at 8am, 1pm, and 7pm each day (just 8am on Sunday). So if your game starts at 9am and wraps up at 1pm you'll find tons of fill-ins from people showing up late but still having something to play at 1pm. If your game runs to 3pm you'll lose players because it will crossover into another game they have scheduled. Just some random thoughts while I avoid doing real work at my job this afternoon.
