Your Costco rules, ours don't carry books. People must not read down here. :\
Wow, that stinks. I tend to get a lot of books at Costco. Though this is only the second time I have seen any RPG books there.

Don't you have to have a membership there? (ala Sam's Club) There's one abt 30 mins from me and I stay away from places that charge memberships just to shop there as I probably won't spend enough to make it worthwhile.

If you have kids and/or ever buy anything in quantity the membership is worth it. It is also worth it if you need a set of tires. In general, places like Costco and Sam's have great prices on tires. They also often have good prices on DVD's and electronics, though the selection is limited sometimes. I prefer Costco over Sam's, but that is a personal opinion thing. With the amount I spend there, the membership is easily worth the price. Then again, I have 3 kids and with visitors and other family and friends we use "family-size" packages pretty easily.

I love CostCo even more now!

Wow, I shall have to swing by the local one, whip out my EXECUTIVE level CostCo card, and peruse the book section.

phear me, non executive-level CostCo card holders.

A lot of people split memberships (I believe Costco is $35-$40) and then divide up stuff--a case of paper towel is a lot cheaper split three ways than if each of you bought the same amount at a regular store. Also, they have discounts on things like eye exams.

I'll have to keep an eye out for D&D things.

The Costco in Hayward/San Leandro doesn't have gaming books. Heck they haven't added new computer games, (plenty of console stuff), for about 2 years, whatever they carried at the time they decided to stop stocking them inside is what you get. Except Sim 2.

On the other hand they had some cool new toys, like the American Chopper 4 packs of bike replicas, a GIJoe double pack of vehicles and action figures, and a TIE fighter and X-Wing pack.

Yes, in Miami our Costco is what I like to call "ghetto-style". But then again, I haven't been to it in about a year, maybe they have changed. I usually shop a BJ's (a knock-off of Costco) because it's closer to home and because the name gives me immature giggles. :p
