That said, after having given it more than a little thought, it is actually a bit overpowered -- that's why I advocate suppressing its +1s at level 4 and 8, so that it gains only 8 spellcaster levels in each class over the course of 10 levels.Low-magic. I dislike the trend, but simply avoid low-magic houserule threads. Not interested. D&D is about flashy magic, multiple races, gods and faeries frolicking with mortals, etc. What annoy me is rather all the rants about how arcane spellcasters are too powerful and need to be nerfed -- exempli gratias, the hubub about haste. The only nerfing of divine spellcaster ever that was ever asked was giving a save or a damage limit to harm. But wizards and sorcerers, they would get a d1 HD, no BAB, and a negative saving throw progression, with halved number of spell per day and a spellcraft check to cast successfully, you would still get people whining about how they are munchkin...Kalamar. Don't care. The world sounds too much like calmar for my tastes -- I don't want to pay money for a seafood setting. What's next, Societies of Squid ? Countries of Clams ? I don't go to the Kenzer boards.Paladin is a PrC. Yes, this claim annoy me too. I just ignore it. You don't need to fill requirements to heed the call, all you need is a brave and noble soul. On the other hand, people that want Blackguard as a core class annoy me also. The dark powers are picky about who may be their champions, and they don't tolerate failure.</blockquote>
