[QUOTE="EarthsShadow, post: 826706, member: 3531"] I guess ya missed the reason why I put that in there about HERO. That was my response to those people that said I was stupid. My honest opinion is that I 'prefer' HERO to d20 and yes I can simulate any genre I want with it with the purchase of one single book in a comparison, with d20 and D&D, one book with provide one genre, another book with provide another genre, and so on... but as far as systems go that is another issue, and d20 is a easier system to use and yes, with the appropriate d20 rules any genre can be simulated with d20, and it is easier for beginning gamers to get into D&D than HERO. Now that you understand the reason as to why I said what I said and now that you have more information to go on, any of you who thought I mentioned what I mentioned to get any flamewar's going on can go to hell because that was not my intention, hence the original topic in rushing to conclusions and making decisions without full knowledge of what the other person is thinking...and I know some of you thought that is what I was aiming for. I don't get pissed often but I do hate to be mocked and I am sure many of you hate to be mocked and made fun of also. No reason to mock others, that's part of the problem with many gamers...too many cliches and too many stereotypes within the gaming community and not enough people willing to have truly open minds and actually communicate without resorting to bashing of some kind. If some of you want me to I 'could' explain why I feel that HERO is better than D&D, but it is only my opinion and I would rather discuss things in a more positive light. A game, any game, is what we make it, for better or for worse. A rpg is meant to be fun, nothing more and nothing less. To go out of your way to try to bash somebody else or humiliate somebody else because they play a different game is the ultimate form of stupidity because all it causes is bad emotions, and there isn't a good enough reason to do that. And I thought this was a GENERAL RPG DISCUSSION BOARD, where ANY RPG could be discussed within rational means, but apparently not considering whenever any non-d20/D&D game gets mentioned most of you automatically assume its aimed at a war between games or only aimed to cause what some of you label a 'troll'... and I thought trolls were ugly, green creatures that liked to kill humans... but what do I know, I am only a gamer who enjoys and likes to roleplay.
