Here's a silly one from my past. Done in HERO. Kid Vid When the otherwise normal PC used his powerstone, he turned into a life size video game character (of the Mario/Sonic style). From the front, he looked like a silly stylized kid, from the side, he was invisible-he was 2 dimensional. His main attack was with martial arts. Once he did enough damage (about 50 points) in combat, a golden disk would appear on the ground nearby. If he retrieved it, he "powered up" and was able to do a hyper-speed move through attack (bull rush) while protected by a powerful force-field. This power lasted 5 combat rounds, and once the powerup expired, he had to do another 50 points to generate another powerup. He also had a Variable Power Pool that he didn't control. This reflected the "easter eggs" and "cheat codes" in his current locale. At any time, he might gain additional powers, randomly determined by the GM. When reduced to 1 Body or if stunned, a conditional instant regeneration would restore his Body and Stun to full values, 2 times/day. And, at all times, this character had an annoyingly perky music loop that played in his presence, occasionally becoming dramatic when he powered up, got an easter egg, or was taking too much damage. BTW- in case you didn't guess, this character was immensely fun to play, and was, at times, intensely annoying to the GM.
