Some of you may recall my previous thread on this subject...
http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?316872-Fun-with-D-amp-D-in-Retail-Sales!
I work retail in an electronics department, and every now and then I try to see how many D&D terms I can slip into regular sales conversations with customers without them noticing. Today, since the 5th Edition PHB was out, I decided to give it a go once more.
Here's a list of the terms I managed to use:
clockwork constructs
arcane
diminutive
Time Stop
vorpal sword
dexterity
secret compartment
power source
thieves' tools
durability
lightning damage (yes, really!)
aquatic creatures
dopplegangers
wizard
sorcery
Globe of Invulnerability (this one was fun)
slashing
reach
leather armor
advantage / disadvantage (these two were on the same customer)
wisdom
strength
intelligence
Locate Object
constitution
Nobody even blinked.
